AIEAT Partners with Thailand Post to Drive AI and Elevate Logistics Toward a Digital Economy

AI Collaboration: Thailand Post and AIEAT
On 3 October 2025, Thailand Post and the AIEAT signed an MOU to collaborate on developing and applying AI to elevate logistics services, addressing the needs of the digital economy and creating a positive impact on Thai society.
The collaboration between the Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneur Association of Thailand (AIEAT) and Thailand Post Co., Ltd. marks a significant milestone in transforming Thailand's logistics business in the digital era. The 142-year-old Thailand Post is advancing its "1-4-2" strategy, emphasizing the power of speed, business, global connectivity, and cutting-edge technology, while launching new services such as a Super App and a digital addressing system (D/ID).
The importance of the delivery business is clear in the performance figures: in the first half of 2025, Thailand Post posted a net profit of 631.56 million baht, up more than 362% from the previous year, with total revenue of over 11,544 million baht, of which more than 46% came from the transport and logistics segment. This reflects how AI-driven enhancement will help boost capabilities in a fiercely competitive market, especially in an era of rapid e-commerce growth.
Mr. Danan Suphatphan, President of Thailand Post, revealed: "Applying artificial intelligence to analyze delivery routes not only helps save fuel and time, but also makes cost management far more efficient," reflecting a commitment to using technology to strengthen the business.
For its part, AIEAT, led by Dr. Chanwit Boonchuay, together with more than 60 member companies of AI specialists in Thailand, will become a key partner in advising and developing technology to improve Thailand Post's service systems, particularly in cases requiring urgent solutions or specific needs, while establishing a long-term IT partner network.
This collaboration will not only improve postal services but also create opportunities to build new businesses, such as specialized logistics, the development of digital platforms to support end-to-end services, and the use of data from AI systems to create new services that better meet consumer needs.
Analysis
The collaboration between AIEAT and Thailand Post is not merely a business agreement, but an important step in building the foundation of Thailand's digital economy with AI as the core mechanism.
Economically, this partnership helps elevate delivery capabilities, which are at the heart of e-commerce. Using AI to manage routes will help reduce logistics costs, which are currently a major burden for operators. If costs can be cut by even 5%, it could directly affect the competitiveness of online sellers and generate enormous money circulation in the economy.
Socially, the public will receive faster, more accurate, and more transparent service. The digital addressing system (D/ID) will reduce the problem of returned parcels, while the Super App will consolidate services into a single platform, making it more convenient and time-saving for users. These improvements help raise quality of life and increase confidence in state-enterprise services.
In addition, this collaboration is a positive signal for the development of personnel and the AI ecosystem in the country. When specialists from more than 60 companies under AIEAT have the opportunity to transfer knowledge into practice within a large, national-scale organization, it helps build a workforce with new skills and may lead to new business models and innovations in the future.
Importantly, this collaboration also has strategic implications, as it demonstrates that Thailand can successfully integrate AI into public services on a broad scale. With Thailand Post serving as a tangible example, other state enterprises can follow suit and apply AI to elevate services across various sectors as well.
In summary, the MOU between AIEAT and Thailand Post is a "milestone" that reflects Thailand's readiness to use AI as a primary tool for building a digital economy and a quality society, while also reinforcing Thailand's image as a hub for AI and smart logistics in the ASEAN region.
